We are seeking an experienced Formwork / Structural Carpenter (Concrete) to join our construction team. The ideal candidate excels in building precise skeleton frameworks and molds (formwork) for reinforced-concrete structures and understands iron-work integration to ensure pours are executed safely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret structural drawings and formwork layout plans.
• Measure, cut, and assemble timber or modular formwork systems for columns, beams, slabs, and walls.
• Install and secure rebar chairs, ties, and other iron work to reinforce concrete structures.
• Erect temporary supports, scaffolding, and bracing to maintain alignment and stability.
• Inspect formwork for dimensional accuracy, cleanliness, and safety before concrete placement.
• Dismantle forms and clean/maintain components for re-use after curing.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, steel fixers, and concrete crews to keep pours on schedule.
• Follow strict safety protocols and maintain tools, equipment, and a tidy work area.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of formwork or structural carpentry experience on concrete projects.
• Proven ability to build and align formwork to tight tolerances.
• Familiarity with rebar tying, iron work, and concrete-pour sequencing.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools (saws, nail guns, levels, lasers, etc.).
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply math for measurements and angles.
• Physical stamina to lift, climb, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as required.
